Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why would anyone sell a gift card for less than it's worth? Is this too good to be true?
A. It's really quite simple. Every week thousands of sellers auction gift cards on Ebay. These gift cards usually sell at a discount because, well, if they were priced at face value most people would just buy directly from the store that issued the card.  The seller gets cash and you end up with more buying power at the store of your choice.  Also, sometimes a seller is desperate for cash and is willing to unload a gift card way below face value to raise cash immediately.

Q.  How much can I expect to save?
A. Our experience has found that savings typically vary between 5-20%, but we occasionally come across gift cards that have sold for 35-40% below face value!  Check out some closed auctions we have listed to see some examples

Q. Are my purchases protected?
A. Absolutely! Any purchase that is paid for through PayPal is protected up to $2,000.  Visit Ebay's Security Center for more information.
